CHARLESTON, S.C. — February 3, 2026 — SC250 Charleston, the non-profit organizing committee honoring the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution in Charleston, announces a foundational partnership with Beemok and an inspiring lineup of Signature Events commemorating the Nation’s founding.
SC250 Charleston is proud to partner with Beemok in this historic endeavor as they commit $3 million in support of programmatic planning, community engagement, and several of the key Signature Events throughout 2026 – among them a Legacy Concert at Credit One Stadium and Legacy Gala. This landmark partnership represents an important first step, with SC250 Charleston’s board hopeful that Beemok’s leadership will inspire additional corporate partners, community stakeholders, and civic leaders to join in shaping a communitywide celebration worthy of America’s Sestercentennial.

June 20 Legacy Concert @ Credit One Stadium
The Legacy Concert kicks off two weeks of programming focused on the 25oth anniversary of the American Revolution. Designed as a patriotic, high-energy gathering, the concert celebrates the enduring ideals of freedom, expression, and unity through music that unites the community.
June 24-25 SC250 American Revolution Symposium @Dock Street Theater
A multi-day scholarly symposium convening leading thinkers to examine the philosophical, political, and cultural foundations of the American Revolution through lectures, roundtables, and moderated discussions.
June 26: An Evening with Author and Historian Rick Atkinson @ Dock Street Theatre
Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian Rick Atkinson will discuss his book, The Fate of the Day: The War for America, Fort Ticonderoga to Charleston, 1777–1780, about the middle years of the war, including Charleston’s role in it. The conversation will connect the lessons of the past with the challenges and aspirations of today.
June 27: SC250 Charleston Reception & Gala @ The Cooper
The SC250 Charleston Reception & Legacy Gala will be a glamorous celebration of past and present, unfolding over the course of an elegant evening at The Cooper. The evening will begin with a black-tie cocktail reception, followed by the formal Legacy Gala featuring period-inspired performances and dances, food and beverage offerings, and moments recognizing and honoring modern-day changemakers whose work reflects enduring values of leadership, service, and civic engagement.
June 27: Revolutionary Skies – A 250th Commemoration Drone Show @ The Cooper River Waterfront, Charleston
A signature public celebration honoring Carolina Day, the Official Drone Show over Charleston Harbor, illuminating the harbor with hundreds of drones depicting Charleston’s Revolutionary story.
June 28: National Park Service Battle of Sullivan’s Island Ceremony @ Ft. Moultrie
SC250 Charleston will help celebrate Carolina Day with a grand commemoration at Ft. Moultrie led by the National Park Service with remarks by local and national dignitaries, a wreath-laying and military-tribute ceremony, living history demonstrations, and much more.
June 28 to July 5: Heritage 250 Locations across Charleston and The Lowcountry
This multiday event will turn Marion Square and other revolutionary-era sites throughout Charleston into a living museum, with storytelling and demonstrations of traditional arts, crafts, and culture. Visitors can also explore and attend nearby performances of music, dance, and theater, as well as panel discussions and conversations, all focused on Charleston and the American Revolution.
July 4: Waterfront Independence Day Celebration @ The Cooper River Waterfront
A waterfront Independence Day celebration featuring family-friendly, patriotic programming and a coordinated, peninsula-wide fireworks display.
July 5: America’s Potluck
