Revolutionary Conversations | Humanity In History

As we mark the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, the International African American Museum is proud to present the first installment of Revolutionary Conversations – a collaborative dialogue series developed in partnership with the Gibbes Museum of Art, South Carolina Historical Society, Charleston County Public Library, and Charleston Gaillard Center.

Facilitated by Tina Singleton of Transformation Table, this inaugural program invites participants into a powerful evening of shared stories, open reflection, and collective truth-telling. Centered on themes of freedom, justice, and belonging, Revolutionary Conversations challenges us to examine the promises of the past and the possibilities of the future.

Together, through inclusive dialogue and historical storytelling, we will explore how the ideals of revolution continue to shape - and sometimes strain - the American experiment. This series is more than commemoration; it is a call to engage with one another, across difference, in pursuit of a more equitable future.
