The Revolutionary City
Coordinated programming across partner institutions, historic sites, and community spaces, The Revolutionary City invites residents and visitors to engage with the ideals, stories, and cultural expressions of the American Revolution.

The Revolutionary City is SC250 Charleston’s citywide living-history activation, transforming Charleston into an immersive Revolutionary-era landscape over the Carolina Day–to–Independence Day period.
Anchored by a daily public expo at Marion Square July 1st - July 3rd and supported by coordinated programming across partner institutions, historic sites, and community spaces.
The Revolutionary City invites residents and visitors to engage with the ideals, stories, and cultural expressions of the American Revolution through curated experiences rather than a single festival footprint. The experience is designed to be navigable, participatory, and repeat-visit–friendly, encouraging attendees to explore multiple sites over several days while interacting with Charleston’s cultural institutions in a structured and playful way.
Full activation details, SC250 Charleston Passport and Revolutionary Trail Maps will be published soon in patrnership with Explore Charleston. Make sure you're on our mailing list to be the first to know when they're launched
