Church Service at St. Michael’s Church: 10:00am to 11:00am
The annual Carolina Day church service at historic St. Michael’s Church will be held at 10am. St. Michael’s Church and its tall steeple could be seen from Sullivan’s Island during the 1776 battle.

Parade from Washington Park to White Point Garden: 11:30am to 11:45am

Carolina Day Address and Wreath Laying: 11:45am to 12:30pm
Near the Battle of Sullivan’s Island monument in White Point Garden, Benjamin Ziegler from South Carolina 250 will provide remarks to the gathered crowd, followed by a wreath laying at the monument.

Carolina Day at Fort Moultrie: 10:00am to 6:00pm
Visit the site where the Battle of Sullivan’s Island occured. Step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich history of Carolina Day – a hands-on historical experience like no other. These events will be held around the National Park Service site at Fort Moultrie on Sullivan’s Island.

Carolina Day Commemorations at the RiverDogs: 6:05pm
The RiverDogs are set to throw a Carolina Day celebration for the ages. Revolutionary War reenactors from SC250 will roam throughout the ballpark, bringing fans back to the Battle of Sullivan’s Island. Two Revolutionary War cannons will also make an appearance and fire before and after the contest. Liberty Live will also be in attendance and will have hands-on Revolutionary-Era relics for kids to interact with. After the game, the RiverDogs will stage their first-ever LED Drone Show, featuring 250 drones above Riley Park. Choreographed to music, the drones will vividly illustrate scenes from the Revolutionary War and other iconic South Carolina imagery.

Fort Moultrie
Come visit the site where the Palmetto Fort that defied the Royal Navy once stood. Historic Fort Moultrie has a great visitor center and many historic displays in and around the fort that exists today. Fort Moultrie also will host a series of great events and exhibitions on Carolina Day.
Breach Inlet on Sullivan’s Island
While Col. William Moultrie’s men fought against the Royal Navy from their positions inside the palmetto fort, another group of Patriots under the command of Col. William “Danger” Thompson faced off against the British Regulars located on nearby Isle of Palms (then Long Island). The Charleston Museum
Visit The Charleston Museum’s Revolutionary War gallery and see uniforms, weapons, and other remarkable artifacts from the Revolutionary War period in Charleston. The museum has a great diorama of the Battle of Sullivan’s Island.

White Point Garden
White Point Garden in historic Charleston features two great monuments tied to the Battle of Sullivan’s Island. Within its tree-lined walk, you will find the The Defenders of Fort Moultrie monument with Sgt. William Jasper – one of the heroes of the battle – atop it. Not far from that monument is another to Col. William Moultrie, the commander of the Patriot forces at the Battle of Sullivan’s Island.
